Results of the World Cup South Africa 2010

A new National team will join the club of world champions when Sunday ends the 2010 World Cup. The results of the semi-finals brought Holland beating Uruguay and Spain doing the same with Germany. Neither teams won a World Cup in their history.

Holland defeated Uruguay 3-2 with an excellent goal by Van Bronckhorst (so far the best in the tournament), at minute 18th of the first half. Forlan tied at 41th. In the second half, Holland hit at 70’ and 73’ with Sneijder and Robben respectively, while Alvaro Pereira got the discount for exciting end, at minute 92 of the match.

Today, Spain beat Germany 1-0 in a match that controlled since the beginning. Puyol scored with a header at minute 73.

This Sunday, Holland and Spain will define the champion, and who will be at the gates of glory. At 8:30 pm local time at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg.
