Fake World Cup confiscated in Germany

German officials confiscated a fake World Cup at Münster airport. The fake World Cup came from Argentina and was directed to a private home.

According to German police, the piece is identical to the World Cup trophy and weights 3.4 kilos.

“This case becomes a violation of copyright laws,” said a FIFA spokesman.

Even though, German authorities will not fine the recipient of the trophy, unless FIFA decides to start a legal process against him. However, that would be conducting to an investigation to determine his responsibility in the case.

The funny thing is that “fake World Cup” will be exposed in a showcase of the German customs as a “work trophy.”
