800 kilos of marijuana were found in Misiones “by mistake”

In a routine procedure of the National Gendarmerie in the town of Montecarlo, Misiones, over 800 kilos of marijuana were found hidden in a pine plantation.

According to official sources, the staff of the squadron 10 “Eldorado” was on a task of patrolling the area called Caraguatay cemetery, between the Rio Parana and the 1514 km of National Route 12, when they found 54 burlap bags hidden in a plantation pines.

By investigating the content, the squad found a total of 940 packages of marijuana, equivalent to 832.925 kilograms or approximately 3 million pesos. This content is now at the disposal of the Federal Court of Eldorado.
