There are at least 40 schools without gas in Buenos Aires City
From the Buenos Aires City Government authorities admitted that there are at least forty schools that do not have gas, which complicates the students’ situation with cold arrival.
Buenos Aires Education Minister Esteban Bullrich acknowledged the gap in educational infrastructure of these buildings, although he said they have other alternative heating.
“We are working to reduce the number and end up our government without schools with this problem,” said the minister in TN channel.
“When we started there were 150 schools without gas. Now there are 46 but they have alternative heating,” the minister added.
In La Paternal, the School No. 20 is in a complicated situation by the lack of gas and parents stuck a poster on a wall, which states that work to extend the gas network is crippled by a debt of 70 pesos.
“In this specific case the minister said the debt was paid on 5 May. Now, the gas company must install the meter and enable the work. In the meantime, we put electric heaters.”
But one problem with the installation caused energy cuts and City government officials were coming this morning to try to give a solution to the problems.
