Sarah Ferguson with Oprah Winfrey: “I’ve been drinking”

When it seemed that she couldn’t fall lower, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson gave her explanation of the video that shows her asking for a bribe. She said she was drunk.

“In the last four days I’ve been traveling through airports so I’ve seen it – but I haven’t actually sat down and watched it.

The Duchess watches the video, in which she offered to sell access to the Duke of York for £500,000, for the first time in full while being interviewed by Miss Winfrey.

The shamed Duchess, who immediately went to the US after being caught on videotape offering access to her trade ambassador ex-husband The Duke of York for GBP500,000, payable to her – in a bag – told the chat show Queen she was “not in the right place” when the conversation with the fake businessman occurred.
