Misiones: 2480 kilos of marijuana were seized
National Gendarmerie arrested two men in an operation to seize drugs. The amount seized, valued at $ 7 million was in a van which carries paper rolls, in the village of Leoni, in Misiones.
The 11 members of the squad “San Ignacio” conducted the operation last night and stopped the truck which was driving on a side roado made of dirt.
The occupants of the vehicle showed irregularities in the documentation when the military requested and were detained because of it.
A narcotics-sniffing dog was of great help in finding the 2480 kilos of cannabis sativa.
Federal Justice ordered the seizure of drugs and arrested the two occupants of the truck, both majors and from the province of Misiones.
