Swedish cartoonist’s residence who drew Muhammad was attacked
The cartoonist Lars Vilkins made a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad in 2007 and since then has been the victim of numerous attacks against him by extremist groups.
At this time, unknown persons attacked with homemade bombs, his residence in Nyhamnslage southern Sweden. At the time of the attack the artist was not in his home, so nobody was injured.
There are no arrested by the incident, nor a clear suspect. The attacks were carried out with bottles full of petrol were thrown inside the house, after breaking the windows.
Consequently there was a fire, but apparently it went out only after a time.
Vilks did not immediately respond to numerous calls from the press for comment the fact that happened in the day.
After the cartoon, the threats also came from Al-Qaeda terrorist network, while this week was attacked by a man when he offered a professorship at a university.
