Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez opened an account on Twitter. He already has 40.000 fans who are expectant to read what he’s going to say.
We must have in our minds that Chavez wants to fight against the opposition in every possible way, including the media, so the government decided to open this account to gain followers, now totaling 40.000 and rising.
The first message sent by Chavez to his followers was: “how are you? I appeared as I said, at midnight. I’m going to Brazil, very happy to work in Venezuela. Venceremos!” declaring his trip to Brazil and his desire to fight the opposition with the social network.
Maybe one of his challenges is to reduce his words or letters to the characters allowed by the social network, as it became common that Chavez’s speeches last up to three hours.
