American professor claims UFO studies should be a university subject
Anthropology professor Philip Haseley from The Niagra County Community College in the state of New Yorkclaimed the studing of UFOs and other unexplained phenomena from space should be a legitimate university subject.
Due to the large amount of UFO sightings worldwide, the lecturer feels it’s an area which should be investigated by students, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Haseley, who also heads the Western New York Mutual UFO Network, said:”(A sighting) happens to millions of people (around the world)”, he said.
“It’s important that the whole subject be brought out in the open and investigated.”
The UFO Network, which reportedly receive up to 50 sightings in the region per month, say there’s plenty of evidence to prove sceptics wrong.
“To say we are UFO believers basically implies we are taking this on faith, and that’s not the case. There’s plenty of evidence,” he said
“We have to deal with sceptics like any other UFO organisation, and we are perfectly willing to be critiqued”, the professor told the Buffalo News in New York.
“We know people who think this is a nonsense subject. And we’ll refer you to voluminous literature and facts about UFOs.”

However it seems ridiculous that in time we will not learn of new ways and physics which will allow us to travel such distances.Look what we have achived in a hundred years,what will we achieve in the next thousand million or billion years so who knows what they are capable of,pig ignorant to say otherwise go back to the dark ages

Congratulations for the article. I think the way in which the professor tackles the sceptical community is correct. For the last 60 years this subject has been kept in the fringe of academia. Professionals of all types learn quickly to steer clear of a subject with such a “crackpot” reputation if their want their careers to be worth anything.
We must put the facts out there with no agenda and no ego. Make the subject relevant to people and stop offering “the real answers” to anyone who will listen.
The Sceptical community should be ashamed of themselves, as they simply never learn. In any new scientific breakthrough, the discoveries are NEVER made by the majority of any group. It is the smaller groups thinking outside the box who eventually change the world. New concepts take hold not by convincing older scientists. It becomes accepted because old scientists die and make way for a generation less restricted by their world view. The likes of Michael Shermer, Seth Shostak, Frank Drake, and Jill Tardar have a vested interest in there being no UFOs. Should ET be already here, then why spend the millions of looking for radio signals? SETI would be out of a job!

I took a non-credit course at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y. . The course was taught by the N.Y.S. Director of MUFON, Jim Bouck. It was a very interesting course, and Jim was open to any and all discussions. It should be noted that his bias was that ET is dangerous and should be avoided. This is the same as MUFON’s “unofficial” position. Unfortunately, this is not the truth, regardless of what Stephen Hawking or David Jacobs is paid to put out to the world’s population. Werner von Braun, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Jesse Marcel, Jr. and physicist Kaku all say that ET pose no threat. I agree.
One final word of caution, MUFON is being taken to the next level of government control by Bigelow Aerospace Industries.
I doubt that any university will teach the truth as they are funded by the military-industrial complex. Nor do I believe that Exopolitical groups run by Michael Salla or Alfred L. Webre will do any better. Look at their backgrounds, ie., the Ford Foundation and Stanford Research Institute, respectively.

Note that 5 US investigators spent 5 years on and off with BM in Switzerland and failed to debunk him. They then publsihed LIght Years by Gary Kinder that confirmed the contacts as genuine.
One of BM ¨group, an Ausrtrian school teacher, Guido Mossbrugger, published And Yet…They Fly, the story of the contacts. There are some amazing close-up photos, some even taken by one of the ets.
Of BM 1000 pre-foto-shop Kodak clor fotos, 100 were analysed by JPL in CA, and found to be of a distant metal object, surrounded by an energy field. One such foto shows a Swiss AF Mirage jet fighter intercepting one of the beamships. On the analyzed foto, the beamships energy field surrounds the jet. At that point, the et pilot informed BM that the jet had locked on its firing system onto the beamship, and the beamship pilot had at that moment neurtralized it. Science fiction? Video taped was also the investigation of metal fragments, given to BM, of several stages of the et beamship`s hull construction, This was done by then IBM top scientist M.Vogel He found metals of absolute purity bonded to other metals of absolute purity, in an unknown cold process.

Millions of us now accept tthis. I have visited BM, and having had several UFO sitings in my airline pilot career, see no fraud.

There is more evidence for the existence of aliens and UFO’s than there is for God. They are here, period.
I have more evidence that the Aliens are visiting us by way of photo evidence than any one person on the internet.
The Abductees are holding all the evidence it is in their bodies. Doctors hide or dismiss this evidence. Abductees testimonies are the ones who should be studied because the Abductees have no voices and the Aliens know this.
I have been wanting this for a long time, and have always ask the youngsters their thoughts and they always agree we should be teaching this subject from kindergarten on. Nice post! I agree with you… even though we don’t really have a concrete evidence of the existence of these intelligent creatures, it is good that we study and further investigate. Having millions of people saying they saw a UFO, is already enough for us to be convince that there is really something out there….
