Brad Pitt’s premiere is Kick-Ass

Brad Pitt meets fans as he arrives at the 'Kick Ass' Premiere at the Empire Leicester Square, London
Brad Pitt has left Angelina Jolie – who is filming The Tourist along with Johnny Depp- and kids in Venice to hop over to London for European premiere of Kick-Ass.
The dad of six, one of the producers, signed autographs before entering the Empire cinema in London’s Leicester Square.
Kick-Ass is about a teenage boy, Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who decides to become a real-life superheroe after being inspired by the heroes of comic books. The movie also stars Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong and Chloe Moretz.
The comic book adaptation stars 19-year-old Aaron Johnson and 13-year-old Chloe Moretz – who plays a super-violent foul-mouthed assassin aged just 11.
Claudia Schiffer and her husband Matthew Vaughn have directed the flick.
It has been co-written by Jane Goldman, Jonathan Ross’s wife. ‘I can’t fathom how exciting it is at the moment,’ said Goldman. She also said she’s worried her new film may cause controversy.
Jane’s barely-there frock stole the show, with onlookers wondering whether it was courageous, or just plain outrageous.
The film has already attracted controversy, with critics accusing it of blurring the lines between child and adult entertainment.
Asked about the furore, Moretz said: “My mum and dad read the script before I did so they knew exactly what was in it. I’m not up for violence – just fun.”
