Transvestite Highschool Student to be flag bearer wearing women’s clothes
According to Argentine newspaper Clarin, the 17 year old boy attends the last year of High school in the city of Nogoya, Entre Rios province and has excellent grades.
The decision by authorities to allow the student to carry the flag wearing women’s clothes was supported by parents and fellow students, but there were also some critical voices.
The student has a male name, but everyone calls him Kylie. He paraded as the first escort of the flag, and has an excellent academic record with a GPA above 9.
When Kylie informed of his decision to go dressed as a woman, he placed the school authorities between a rock and a hard place.
Kylie was attended the ceremony for the beginning of the school year 2010 and walked with the National Flag dressed as a woman but bringing up the dust coat of man, “not to draw attention to the youngest students” said Kylie.
The head of the General Education Council of Entre Rios province, Graciela Bar, said that the identity chosen by the individual citizen should always be respected and no religious or gender discrimination should be accepted.
Kylie said in a radio interview: “What I want is for people to understand me, I have this sexual identity since I was four years, because I remember going to the kindergarten and confessing to my mom that I liked a boy. She downplayed it at that time, she wanted to cover it , but she knew I was going to be as I am.”
Kylie said his desire is to leave Nogoya to study politics at the university, and also considers becoming a history teacher.
