San Juan: Sun Festival begins to shine

Sun Festival begins in the province renamed as “The Star of the Andes” and it will use a nearly five-acre campus, which will include over 200 stands.

Local and national companies will exhibit their products in addition to various enterprises of artisans and restaurants, raising the flag of the Bicentennial of The Nation.

Popular Argentine singer-songwriter Jairo intone the verses of the national anthem at the festival inauguration and the San Juan Archbishop, Monsignor Alfonso Delgado will be responsible for the blessing.
Besides Gov. Jose Luis Gioja and Queen of the Sun, Maira Marquez will be present.

Tonight begins the series of performances called “Voices of Freedom,” where the artist Ale Ceberio and clustering La Barra will act. On successive nights Midachi, Cacho Brown, Soledad Pastrutti, Chaco, and Los Nocheros Palavecino will be presented.
