Buenos Aires: A judge approved another gay marriage

 

Buenos Aires judge Elena Liberatori decided to accede to an injunction filed by a homosexual couple and ordered a wedding that will take place at the Civil Registry.The judge claimed that the couple has “absolute priority” for the premarital examination and obtain a turn at the registry.

Last November last year, another judge in Buenos Aires, Gabriela Seijas, has granted an injunction in favor of Alex Freyre and José Maria Di Bello, but the registry office refused to marry them.

 

After several failed attempts and appeals, the couple married in Ushuaia, with the approval of the governor of Tierra del Fuego, Fabiana Rios.

Mauricio Macri announced that he will not appeal the decision.
