Chavez called Queen Elizabeth to return back the Malvinas/Falklands to Argentina
Venezuela’s President Hugo Chávez demanded Queen Elizabeth to return Falklands/Malvinas to Argentina and said that in case of an armed conflict Argentina “will not be alone.”
“No more empires, haven’t you heard, queen of England?” Give back the Falklands to the Argentine people, “said Chavez in his Sunday TV program” Alo Presidente “.
“And for the English, who speak of democracy and still have a queen, how is that?” Democracy with kings?”
“All right, let’s not get envolved with their problems, but what we do reject is thier unhistorical and unreasonable dominion over territories all over the world. ”
“Things have changed, queen of England, we’re not in 1982 anymore, and in case of an aggression against Argentina, be sure that Argentina will not be alone this time, as it was then. Argentina is our country too.”, said Chavez.
“Old British empire, return those lands and those seas to Argentina and the fraternal people of Perón and San Martín”
“Hopefully all the countries of Latin America will support Argentina.” Concluded.
