Muslim bride is dumped after revealing her face

An Arab ambassador called for an annulment after discovering his veil-wearing fiancée had facial hair and was crossed-eyed.

As soon as the marriage contract was signed in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, he tried to kiss her bride, when he was faced to a strange squint and a beard.

“He was absolutely horrified,” said a wedding guest.

The diplomat had only previously met his wife when her face was hidden behind a niqab. He claims that he was tricked into marriage by her mother, who had shown him pictures of her sister instead.

According to the Gulf News, her facial hair was only discovered when the ambassador tried to smooch his new spouse after the marriage contract had been signed.

The embassador reportedly demanded their union be annulled and also claimed the woman should compensate him with $132,000 for clothes, jewellery and gifts he’d bought for her.

The judge rejected the claim for compensation but he did agree to approve the divorce.
