Cristina ratifies the Martin Redrado’s dismissal

According to Cabinet chief Anibal Fernandez, the president will ratify the decree which dismissed Martin Redrado as the Central Bank president.

“The President ratified the decree of necessity and urgency of January 7th,” said Fernandez. He also informed that Cristina will decide who will be the next Central Bank president.

Moreover, he questioned the vote, against the dismissal of Redrado, by the Deputy Alfonso Prat Gay, saying he did so under pressure from party leader Elisa Carrio. “I have no doubt that Alfonso would have voted against with both hands.”

According to Fernandez, “Prat Gay is a very reliable technical” but “the spotless and immaculate Dr. Carrio forced him to vote for Redrado because she rented the house in Punta del Este to a friend in common with the former president of the BCRA .
