Uruguay: Maradona will participate in an antidrug campaign
Diego Armando Maradona accepted a proposal from the Uruguayan president, Jose Mujica, to participate in a counternarcotics campaign with young Uruguayans.
Diego always had an excellent relationship with the Eastern people and he has confirmed that he will participate of the campaign after the World Cup.
“Somehow I expect that he will talk to them not just about drugs, but also about sports,” said Mujica.
“He agreed to it but we have to wait until the World Cup is over,” he added.
It is not the first time that Maradona takes part in an anti-drug campaign. In 1995 he starred in the campaign “Sun without drugs” where he told about his addictions and his struggle to quit drugs.
