A line 150 bus driver was shot in the hand this morning when criminals attacked him in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Soldati.

Following the shooting, the driver Roberto Tabbo (the 35-year-old  father of five) had surgery in the Spanish Hospital.

Family and friends expressed outrage over the incident and requested more security for bus drivers.

“Nobody is moved by anything in this country. That angers me and makes me very angry,”  told a news channel the victim’s sister, 35-year-old father of five children. “Something must be done. You can not live like this,” she complained.

The incident occurred when the only passenger who was aboard the bus pulled out a gun and requested Tabbo to turn over the money.

The victim attempted to defend himself and was wounded by a bullet in his left hand. The robber escaped with money and documents of the driver.

For the brutal assault, Tabbo’s fellow co-workers went on strike, demanding for more security measures. The measure ended at 9.30 am when police authorities promised to increase night operations.
