A horse rider died after falling from his horse
In the ‘Doma and Folklore’ Festival in Jesus Maria, in the province of Cordoba, during the show last night, Alfredo Espindola, a rider who was born in Misiones, died after falling from his horse.
The organizing committee decided to suspend the show yesterday, and will have to decide whether the show is rescheduled, a decision that will be taken today.
The accident occurred when the rider, who was doing a temporary replacement, was preparing himself to start the competition.
Hugo Caranta, field foreman said “the horse let out, and consequently the rider fell in the area which caused him several injuries.
Alfredo Espindola, was immediately taken to intensive care in Caroya hospital where he died a few hours later.
At first the ‘Doma’ was suspended, and the folk dancing continued, but the audience began to leave the place when they acknowledged the death of the rider.
