This was stated by the leader of the General Directorate of trees in the township, Guillermo Baló, and specified that the money that they need to repair their cars will be refunded to them.
The official said to a radio that affected citizens have to attend to the Directorate with “a photo of the incident, green card and vehicle title” and that will also be requested “a report of the Police Assistance, which probably helped at the place.”
Baló also said that “it’s a regular administrative process and the repayment period will be of six months or a year.”
The official said that 140 trees fell and 15 generated damage in various cars.
In addition, Balo said that the city has a total of 500 thousand trees, of which “350 thousand are located on the sidewalks and the other 150 thousand are distributed in green spaces.”
