Del Potro is now the number 4 in the world

The Argentine Tennis player Juan Martin Del Potro, without participating in any tournament these last weeks, peaked at number 4 of the ATP world rankings.

“The tower of Tandil’ enjoys the best place that he had ever achieved in his career, because the Scottish player Andy Murray has been relegated to fifth place because he didn’t play the Doha ATP and due to that he lost the 250 points he had gained the last year, when he won the title. Del Potro is above him with just 5 points more.

Although the position will last only one week Del Potro will be among the four top-seeded for the Australia Open, which will start this Sunday.

Del Potro will avoid playing in semi-finals against the three best in the world: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
