“El secreto de sus ojos” got eight nominations for the Goya Awards

“El secreto de sus ojos”, a film from the Argentine director Juan Jose Campanella, won eight Goya Awards nominations: Ricardo Darin is to compete in the best actor category.

The film earned nominations for major categories such as best film and best Spanish speaking film.

Ricardo Darin, meanwhile, is also nominated for best actor for his role in “El baile de la victoria” directed by Spanish director Fernando Trueba.

The other films running for the best Latin American film award are the Chilean “Dowson isla 10″, by Miguel Littin, “Gigante,” by the Uruguayan Adrian Biniez and Peruvian “La teta asustada” by Claudia Llosa.

In addition, Soledad Villamil, competes for the New Actress Award, also for her role in the film Campanella, reported this morning news agency DPA.

The Goya Awards, comprising 28 categories and the Goya of Honor, will be presented on February 14.
