Heavy rains in San Antonio de Areco

San Antonio de Areco is suffering from heavy rains again, but its mayor, Estela Lennon, said that they remain alerted but also said that the river “remains in its caudal”.

The mayor said that the river didn’t overflow so the city won’t be flooded again.

“In the last hours 64 millimeters of precipitation fell and that produced the river to gain speed, even though yesterday its caudal was low ” Lennon said.

Unfortunately the rains will continue until Wednesday, according to the weather service.

And added that “The river didn’t overflow. The rains won’t flood the city again”.

“We are absolutely alerted,” said the mayor, who also says that people has to be quiet but acknowledged that it would be difficult to return to normality.
