Two policemen were injured in Tres de Febrero

Spokesmen for the police reported that “the two criminals were captured, one wounded, and police officers are out of danger, although one of the criminals tried to fire a gun below the officer´s bulletproof vest to shot him in his heart.”

The events ocurred at 11:30 am due to a call to the 911 service, when a neighbor reported that “two thieves had stolen a truck.” Police of Tres de Febrero came in the place and started looking for the criminals when they found a suspicious woman that was alone. When they consulted her about the incident, she said she had to pick up two passengers. The police followed her, and when they saw a man and a minor getting into the car, one of the officers approached to the vehicle and the man descend with a firearm, starting a shootout .

Police spokesman stated that “the criminal got into close combat with one officer, Lieutenant Ernest Vallo, until the criminal managed to reduce him and hit two shots, one in his shoulder and the other in his arm. ”

The other officer, Marcelo Aguero, tried to support his partner reducing the thief, but failed and received two shots, one in his shoulder and the other in his right leg.

A witness stated that “in the middle of the fight, one of the two officers shot the thief in the stomach, but he continued to struggle and even tried to introduce his gun under the bulletproof vest of one officer, to shot him in his heart.”

He added: “I was in my house and suddenly i heard a shootout. I think that were fired 30 shots. It was terrible, there is a car that was on the sidewalk and has a shot. ”

Throughout the event, the minor was still into the car and began yelling at the driver, “Get me out of here, get me out of here”, so she was forced to take him while he pointing her with a gun.

Police reinforcements were able to arrest the thief and was taken to hospital Boccalandro of Tres de Febrero, where he had to undergo surgery. Police officers were assisted and are out of danger.

A group of policemen stood at the scene and managed to catch the minor, who just a few metres ahead descended from the remis and hid in a shop.

A Police spokesman explained that “after the arrests it was confirmed that the robbers were committing a criminal raid in which the victims were two men and a woman. First they stole a car and then a truck. They also stole a woman, stealing her all their possessions but couldn´t stole both vehicles because the emergency alarms were activated.

Carlos Insaurralde, Attorney of San Martin, is in charge of the case and had classified it as “qualified repeated theft, illegal carrying of civilian weapon, unlawful deprivation of liberty and attemption of murder.”
