Dakar Rally already in motion at La Rural

The world’s most popular Rally is about to start and the fans have from today until December 31 the opportunity to visit the booths of the participants and sponsors at La Rural in Palermo while the technical verifications are being done.

After the checking, vehicles will travel to the Dakar Village, where various activities will be conducted to the public, starting with the drawings for gifts organized by the sponsors of the Dakar: Loctite, Novotel, Arcor, Personal, BNP (Cetelem), Total, Andesmar and BF Goodrich. The contests and games will be repeated during the 29, 30 and 31 December and on the morning of Jan. 1.

The ticket to La Rural is worth 10 pesos, and children under 12 accompanied by an adult, are free. The Dakar Village will schedule :

Wednesday from 11 to 21 hours

Thursdays from 11 to 19 hours

Friday from 11 to 17 hours

The Dakar 2010 will have a total of 373 competitors, divided in 138 cars and vans, 161 motorbikes, 29 quads and 50 trucks.

Argentina will be represented by 15 bikes, 17 cars and 12 quads.

The race, which for the second year will be held in Argentine and Chilean territory will begin Friday with a symbolic start from the Obelisco.
