Tevez scores again for Manchester City closing a successful year
In what can be called a good closure for this year, former Boca Juniors striker Carlos Tevez scored again for his team Manchester City. This time, in the debut of Italian coach Roberto Mancini.
The ‘Apache’ made a great start with the new coach. His energy and determination created the first goal. He powered past a group of markers and crossed to Robinho who helped the ball into the path of Petrov to open the scoring.
They took a 2-0 lead into the break through the ever lively Tevez. Pablo Zabaleta swung a deep cross into the Stoke box, which Gareth Barry helped towards goal, with Tevez doing the rest with a clinical finish.
Tevez, who was replaced late in the match, scored eight goals for the City, but it is noteworthy that the last five were in the past five rounds.
Against Chelsea was the first of the streak in round 15, sthen cored twice against Bolton in the 16th, did not score in the 17th but in the 18th against Sunderland and finally today.
