Amy Winehouse is engaged to ex-husband

Amy Winehouse and her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil are engaged to be re-married. The former music video assistant, 31, says the soul singer is the love of his life, and that they got divorced only because of pressure from parents.

Blake, is currently receiving treatment for his drug addiction in Sheffield after being released from prison earlier this year. The Sun reported him as saying: “I’m fed up with people trying to tear us apart. The only reason me and Amy want to be together is because we love each other.

“Amy and I have talked about getting married again and starting a family. This time we’re doing things properly and hopefully that will help our families both come round to the idea. We’ve been through a lot but we love each other the same as ever. We tried to get on with our lives and see other people, but it wasn’t the same.” 

Blake also claims that Mitch controls most of Amy’s life and that “it’ll be a disaster if he’s not out of the picture”.

The Rehab singer launched a harsh attack on her dad Mitch and god-daughter Dionne Bromfield for mouthing off about her hubby-to-be (again). Mitch Winehouse blames Blake for introducing Amy to drugs. And Dionne has recently denied the reconciliation rumours.

Distraught Amy said: “Everything my family says about Blake ain’t true. It hurts me.”

There seems to be so many contradictions as Blake’s mother, Georgette, said that the couple will marry as soon as her son is done with rehab. “He’ll be straight back with Amy in London. I know it won’t be long before I get a call from Blake saying, “Mum, I’m at the airport and we’re flying off to get married.”"

The couple’s 28 month marriage ended last September but they had actually spent six months together as husband and wife. Blaked was sent to prison in November 2007 for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He was then sentenced to 27 months in prison in July 2008 before being released in March this year.

Blake filed for divorce on the grounds of Amy’s adultery days after she was photographed cuddling up to aspiring actor Josh Bowman on holiday in St Lucia.

During Blake’s imprisonment, Amy was also linked to her manager’s assistant Alex Haines, who sold details of their fling to a Sunday tabloid.
