Ginobili returned and San Antonio keeps going
The best basketball player in Argentina, Emanuel Ginobili, had last night his second round so far in this season. The player from Bahia Blanca played again after six matches and he had an average performance.
He made 8 points (2/6 doubles, 1/1 triples and 1/1 free), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 3 balls lost and one penalty in the 16 minutes he was in the court.
Meanwhile, his team, San Antonio Spurs, moves forward steadily in the Western Conference after an uneven start. Last night, with Ginobili’s return, the team beat Philadelphia 97-89.
The coach, Popovich, is worried about the injuries of his key players. He could only count with his stars triplet, Duncan, Parker and Ginobili in only 7 out of the 15 matches played, with the irony that in those 7 matches he only bagged 3 victories.
The Spurs’ record this season is 9 victories and 6 defeats, and is in sixth position.
Meanwhile, Luis Scola, Houston Rockets player, suffered a cut on his eyelid in the 22 second of the game and he received seven stiches. The Argentine received a slap by Etan Thomas in play of the game.
