San Luis Governor Alberto Rodriguez Saa announced that he will not adhere to the universal child allowance because the measure is “discriminatory to the province citizens as it violates the universal character.

The decision was communicated through a letter to the president, Cristina Kirchner, to inform the provincial decision.

According to an official report, Rodriguez Saa ended up rejecting the President’s project because it excludes those who receive social assistance.

“This is not a universal allowance and they know it themselves as they exclude children whose parents belong to social or welfare plans,” said spokesmen from the Ministry of Social Inclusion.

San Luis’ government defended the program “Trabajo por San Luis” and denied that it was another care plan like the nation says.
