Alderete reversed threat of public buildings occupations
Picketer leader Juan Carlos Alderete, from the Classist and Combative Movement (CCC), said he’s not there to overthrow the government and he defends democracy at all costs. With those words he moved away from the threat of future public buildings’ occupations.
Alderete leaves behind his idea of taking the Ministry of Social Development building and the ANSES next Wednesday to demand new social plans.
“The occupation of the public building scheduled for next Wednesday as a way to demand social plans, has been called off “
Yesterday, Florencio Randazzo, the Interior Minister, had announced that the Government would not fall into “provocations” before picketer leader warning, who today said that the measure “is not provocative.”
The picketer showed his repentance by saying there would be “deaths on both sides” in the event of an attempted eviction if the protesters took the 22 storeys of the ministry led by Alicia Kirchner.
“It was a moment of anger and heat.” “I’m never going to support those who may intend to overthrow or destabilize a government.”
However, he criticized the criminal complaint submitted by the kirchnerism against him. “Under the dictatorship I was imprisoned for defending Isabel Peron’s government although I had huge differences of oppinion, like I have now with the present Government.”
Chief of Staff Aníbal Fernández lodged yesterday a complaint against Alderete through the Department of State Security of the Argentine Federal Police, in Julian Ercolini’s federal court.
“Minister Anibal Fernandez knows that we are not troublemakers, we are not overthrow any government and we know very well that we defend democracy at all costs. Even if our lives are at risk, we will defend democracy,” he said.
