La Plata: Former teacher accused of pedophilia is arrested

A former teacher of a school in La Plata was arrested on charges of pedophilia. At his home, more than 600 videos and over a hundred CDs with images of girls between 6 and 13 years naked in pornographic poses were seized.

The suspect’s name is Jose Daniel Vedoya, 45.

The investigations began after a complaint from the Terra Argentina’s legal representatives, who claimed that months ago unknown users uploaded images of both sexes minors with captions suggesting they were kids from different private schools in La Plata.

According to what police sources said, staff of the DDI La Plata initiated an investigation thanks to which they succeeded in determining the identity of the offender.

Researchers could trace the place from where images had been uploaded, from a residence on Calle 47 between 24 and 25 in La Plata, Buenos Aires.

The suspect’s house was raided on Thursday, where they seized 624 pornographic videos saved in 120 cds, and several printed photographs of minors in sexual poses.

According to sources, Vedoya was a tutor in a private school in the city of La Plata. The case is being investigated by  prosecutors Fernando Cartasegna, Graciela Rivero, and the instructor Karina Saleg.
