Buenos Aires Creamfields 2009 rescheduled for December 19
On Tuesday, the Government Control Agency of Buenos Aires City decided to suspend the country’s largest dance festival, stating that the organizing company failed to meet the necessary requirements.
The Agency ordered the cancellation of the event by a decree and the head of the Administrative Organ, Paul Burlot, said the company organizing the electronic music event had presented in early October the request to use the venue.
The main problem was that the request did not comply with the relevant formal requirements and thus received a warning, asking them to submit the missing documents for the request to be processed. Unfortunately for those waiting eagerly for the party, it never happened.
While as of today the event’s web site continued to inform that they will announce a final statement regarding this situation, there is no signs of it.
Creamfields 2009 was to be held at the GEBA stadium on Saturday Nov. 7. Among the artists announce in the line up were: Orbital, Richie Hawtin, David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren.
According to Rolling Stone magazine the date for the festival has been changed to December 19th while the venue is still to be confirmed.
