The first posters, “Néstor Kirchner 2011″, appeared in Buenos Aires
Surprisingly enough, the Buenos Aires’ downtown was covered with hundreds of posters foretelling the launch campaign of Nestor Kirchner’s reelection as president of Argentina for the general 2011 elections.
“Now Nestor Kirchner 2011″, highlight the posters, with a blue background and the image of the former president waving.
Unlike other times, these posters are signed. The first one is from the Frente Transversal, the picketer group led by the ultra-kirchnerist deputy Edgardo Depetri. There’s also Frente Grande’s signature, the party founded by former Vice President Carlos “Chacho” Alvarez and now chaired by the Foreign Ministry official Eduardo Sigal.
The third one is Militancia Social, a group led by deputy Ariel Pasini, aligned with the Social Development ministry, Alicia Kirchner, which usually supports officialist protests. There’s also the Partido Intransigente, the Corriente Martin Fierro (chaired by Jorge Aragon), the Partido Comunista Congreso Extraordinario, and the social organization Comedor Los Pibes.
Candidate Elisa Carrio, the vicepresident Julio Cobos, the deputy Felipe Sola, and the former president Carlos Menem (1989-1999) have announced their nominations.
