More than 400 kilos of marijuana seized in La Plata

In a series of procedures performed in La Plata, the Metropolitan police seized 400 kilos of marijuana, 17 vehicles were caught and some of them were dismantled, and six people were arrested.

The second police station in La Plata carried out a total of nine raids, according to sources.

The procedures were made at noon and confirmed by Roberto Gervasio Castronuovo. “Following an investigation initiated by the 2nd police station in La Plata, it was possible to seize 400 kilos of marijuana that were stashed in a warehouse in Villa Elisa, and to arrest six people,” said the police chief.

The drug was found under the stage (the place used to be a threatre) and in the basement. There were 267 loaves of marijuana.

Castronuovo said that over 8,000 pesos were seized at the scene and 17 vehicles were dismantled.
