‘Maradona is destroying Leo Messi’

A digital Spanish newspaper published the following article on Maradona and Messi:

‘Diego Armando Maradona appears to want to destroy Leo Messi. The Barca player  the Argentine coach favorite, as he evidenced publicly on several occasions.

Recently on Argentina´s television, Maradona showed his disappointment at Leo Messi´s performance at the national tema: “I do not know what happens to Leo here.”

Everyone knows that their relationship is not exactly friendly. They are not enemies, of course, but remain distant from each other.

Some even point to possible jealousy from Maradona towards Messi, because the world press considers Messi as his natural replacement’. Gone are those days when the Argentine coach praised his best player and claimed that “Leo is the best in the world. And will be crowned in South Africa’s World Cup.

Leo Messi, for many the undisputed winner of Ballon d’Or 2009 tough.
