Faggionatto Marquez was suspended
The Judicial Council ordered today to start impeachment against the federal Judge of Zarate-Campana, Federico Faggionato Marquez, for malfeasance in office and suspended him until the end of the process.
The information was confirmed by Senator Ernesto Sanz, radical member of the Judicial Council, in a radio station.
The Council approved by 7 votes to one, with the absence of Kirchnerism, the indictment of Senator Ernesto Sanz, according to the legislature.
“The federal judge has a historic record of filings against him in the Council of the Magistracy,” said Sanz, and explained that the next step is to “set up the jury trial with seven members.
In that sense, the radical senator said that he approved the opening of the jury process because “in my opinion, what happened last week with the support of Kirchnerism, lacked of authority.”
The charges against Faggionatto include: the alleged misappropriation of a soybean crop, plotting with the police to harm a defendant, being involved in a case where he was being investigated for not granting house arrest to a prisoner who died, and bribing detainees in a case of kidnapping for ransom.
The judge returned to the scene during the last election campaing to revive the cause for ephedrine trafficking and engage the then-candidate for deputy Francisco De Narvaez in the research.
