Rain and hail alert for the weekend

The National Weather Service released an alert of possible rain, hail and occasional storms in several provinces in the center of the country and Federal Capital.

The most affected areas are the eastern provinces of Chaco, Córdoba, Corrientes, Entre Rios, Formosa, southern Misiones, Santa Fe and the Rio de la Plata.

Buenos Aires reached its highest temperature for these unusual times of year, 27.2 degrees by 6pm.

In cities such as Resistencia in the province of Chaco, the temperature exceeded 31 degrees.

“Low pressure in the north and the of breezes from the Pacific Ocean will lead towards the end of the day, accompanied by rain and storms, and possible gusts and hail” according to reports.

Tomorrow, when the wind gets to the south, it will cause severe storms and a probable fall of hail, which will last until dawn or Sunday morning.

On the Atlantic coast are rains and storms are expected.
